Last night after working with clients, I was writing up a blog post about willpower. It was almost done but I didn’t finish. I could have pushed, I can push through fatigue, but I listened to my body.
A few weeks ago, I asked folks on my email list what their biggest struggles were. The top struggles were around willpower and not having enough time. Thank you to everyone who answered that email, I SO appreciate your feedback. I want to help you, and I AM creating something so stay tuned.
I have a habit of working too much. You see, there are things I need / want to do for others, and there’s the student loans and there’s the passion for what I do and helping those I serve. So, it’s easy to see that I get pulled into working too much. But, today, I’m going to rest, I’ll work a little, but I’m taking some time to pause, and I invite you to do the same.
Right now, I’m running my first ever 21 Day Love Your Body Challenge. I’m over the moon excited for the participants. See, I started my healing journey 27 years ago and I’m sharing what worked for me and many others to heal.
In this challenge, one of the exercises is to take a few minutes out of your day to do a powerful breathing exercise combined with active appreciation of your body. I call it the Body Appreciation Exercise. This practice changes lives.
Even if you can’t take time off today, I’m giving you permission to take a few moments to breathe, and enjoy the moment. There are 500 reasons why you shouldn’t do this. Do it anyway. During this time, focus on you, your body, your breath, and let go of all your responsibilities and just be in your own skin. You’re enough. Your to do list will wait, just breathe.
I’ll give you a hint ==>> this is how you boost willpower, are you interested now?
I’ll share more, but know that taking time to pause during your day, and connecting with yourself, is how you will avoid overeating later in the day.
Please stay tuned, I will get the willpower booster to you shortly. Today, I’m going to practice resting.
All the best,
