So many women and men suffer with cravings for Chocolate. There are many reasons for cravings, and they are specific to each person, and we’ll talk about that below. That being said, having strong cravings and feeling out of control is not fun no matter what the cause. But there is hope for Chocolate cravers.
Chocolate as Food or Medicine
Through the centuries Chocolate has been sought after as a valuable commodity as a medicine and for pure enjoyment. It can certainly affect our mood, and that’s why so many of us crave it, we want to feel good! Who wouldn’t?
Ultimately, for most people, there is no problem eating Chocolate in moderation. Dark, raw and less processed Chocolate, made with real (not synthetic) sweeteners can be a really nice treat. Plus there are wonderful phyto-nutrients in the Chocolate to boot. There are scientific studies that have shown the health benefits of Chocolate (Google it). The problem comes, when our cravings for Chocolate cause us discomfort.
Causes of Chocolate Cravings
For many, a craving for Chocolate is distressing. It can make us feel out of control or guilty if we indulge it. So why are so many of us obsessed with Chocolate and what are the causes of these cravings?
There are as many causes as there are people that crave. There can be both a physical and emotional component to food cravings, and chocolate cravings are no exception. I can’t tell you why you crave, but I can show you how to find the answer for yourself. Basically, a chocolate craving is the best way your body has to meet a need, be it emotional or physical in nature. But, there are other ways to meet this with Chocolate. When Chocolate is the only way, we’re locked in, we have only one option, and we’re a victim of this pattern.
Changing Behavior / Finding Peace
I have perfected a simple process that helps you break the cycle of craving, and step into being in charge of your eating. It’s a method that gets to the source of the craving quickly, and helps to permanently change one’s behavior and habits. It does this by opening up the possibilities for meeting the physical or emotional need in other ways besides Chocolate. It works by transforming the old memories stored on your Neural Pathways. You don’t have to know how to do this, the process helps this outcome naturally.
Once the neural pathways have been restored, and the old memories have been addressed, you’ll have choice. You can have Chocolate or not, but you won’t be beholden to it. You’ll feel at peace around Chocolate.
I’ve seen it again and again, people who previously experienced severe cravings for Chocolate now experience no cravings. They may desire Chocolate, and if they do, they are able to make the choice to eat it or not, keep their peace of mind and be in charge. They are in charge, as it should be. A craving is something that is hard to ignore, a healthy desire can be indulged or ignored with peace either way.
Note: Desire is different than craving. Desire is wanting something for the enjoyment of it. Craving is more of a compulsion, and even the ‘satisfaction’ of the craving, does not always bring true satisfaction, but often a relief of the symptoms of distress created by the craving if you’re lucky. The great thing is, you don’t have to give up Chocolate or the enjoyment of it.
But wouldn’t it be great to give up the craving and feel at PEACE?
