Why Zero is Good
I recently had the pleasure of ‘meeting’ Dr. Ayala on twitter. She is a Pediatrician Artist and Gardener and Creator of a new beverage line called Herbal Water. She’s also a mom and passionate about helping people eat better.
I’ve been eager to tell you about Herbal Water since I tried it. It’s a truly unique beverage, and I just plain love it (dare I say crave?). It’s pure water, infused with herbs and spices and is incredibly refreshing. It’s USDA organic, so you can be sure you’re enjoying it and nothing else. They have six different flavors, and I can’t decide which one is my favorite, but I’m leaning towards Clove, Cardamom & Cinnamon. Here they are:
• Cinnamon Orange Peel
• Clove Cardamom Cinnamon
• Ginger Lemon Peel
• Jasmine Vanilla
• Lavender Mint Lemongrass Thyme
• Lemongrass Mint Vanilla
Herbs and spices are medicinal and nutrient dense so what’s not to like? I can see taking a bottle for a hike or serving them at a gourmet dinner party. I’ve often looked for a drink that isn’t loaded with sugars, but has a little more flavor than plain water. Have you noticed this combination elusive? I finally found it! And it has zero of the following:
• calories
• artificial ingredients
• preservatives
Zero is good in my book! It does come in plastic bottles (PET-1), but I can’t taste the plastic like other products. The type of plastic they are using has been proven safe and this is the one product I will buy in plastic.
So give Herbal Water a try and let me know which flavor you favor. You can find a store that sells it near you right HERE. Enjoy!
