Food Cravings-When Negative Thinking is PositiveNegative Thinking is Good?… Have I Gone Mad?

 

I’m guessing you’ve heard 1000+ times to think positively. Positive thinking creates positive results, right? Plus, negative thinking creates more negativity and it just doesn’t feel good.

 

We’ve been told how to use affirmations to help us create what we want more of in our lives. But, sometimes there’s a benefit to focusing on the negative to get what we want.

 

Yes, you read that correctly. There is only ONE situation I know of when focusing on fear and negativity could bring anything positive at all. So you may ask, what is that?

 

Well, it’s pretty simple.


When you hold specific Acupressure points around your face and the back of you head and focus on something negative, it actually results in this negativity fading.

The grip that negative thought, fear or belief had on you also fades. This sounds too good to be true doesn’t it? Well, thousands of people around the world have used this method and have experienced this.

There is something wonderful that happens when we focus in this way as we hold these points (Don’t worry, I won’t write about neural pathways today). The power that the fear or negativity had over us loses it’s grip.

 

Then, the next time we experience a similar event or think about the scenario, we feel differently about it. We have a new relationship to whatever it was. We are free to be objective about it, instead of being caught up in it, or the victim of it.

 

So, Here are a few examples of before and after thinking negatively (please note that all Acupressure sessions are individualized to what is bothering you):

 

    1. Chocolate Obsession: I have clients focus on how much they want to eat chocolate, or how out of control they feel. After their session, instead of wanting it more, they want it less. They feel more in charge, and that it doesn’t have power over them. They have choice, the choice to have it or not, and be at peace either way.

 

  1. Food & Weight Obsession: I have clients focus on the worst part of their weight issues or food obsessions and they find their obsessive thoughts and fears fading.
    The result? They are not so haunted by compulsive thought patterns or behaviors. They find a new kind of peace that is quiet, and what they notice is an absence of mental chatter, ah!

 

  1. Binge Eating: I have clients imagine a binge, and that behavior pattern changes, and they feel less inclined to repeat their previous behavior when they encounter previously triggering situations.

 

And, Negative Patterns Transform into Positive, Life Affirming Habits

 

So, these long term patterns can change. Peace with Food can be found. These issues take their rightful place and they lose their power over us, all as a result of focusing on the negative! But, you must be holding the Acupressure points for this transformation to occur.
Suddenly, chocolate sounds more neutral, still tasty, but different. The obsession about food and weight seems a bit silly. Being out of control with food seems like something the client used to do, an old behavior from the past.
I get to see this when I work with clients and when I work with you. It brings me such great joy! I get to witness amazing insights and transformations too.
So, if you’re using affirmations with limited success or great success but would like more, you may want to check this out. Holding Acupressure points and focusing on affirmations makes the affirmations so much stronger. This is a more powerful way to practice affirmations because it helps clear the path to your heartfelt desire, all the beliefs and mental clutter that can keep us stuck or from manifesting what we want. It is a quick and gentle way to get closer to what you TRULY want.
Oh, and one last thing, you’ll be less drawn to the negative after your session, and more inclined to feel positive and optimistic. It’s not magic, it’s just returning to you what is naturally yours.
