Do I Have to Give Up My Craved Food Completely?

Do I Have to Give Up My Craved Food Completely?

Do I have to give up my food craving completelyNo! You Don’t Have To Give it Up Completely!

I mean, unless you want to….and some people do.

Many times, I hear from patients or prospective patients something that goes like this:

“Well, I don’t want to give up my __________ (insert craved food), I LIKE it!

In regards to Food Craving Sessions, sometimes my biggest task is allaying fears and helping people get past their doubts. I know that unless I do this, my patients won’t get the results they truly desire, so I am committed to this process.

So back to the idea that you have to give up the food you crave. You don’t have to give it up if you don’t want to, it’s your choice. But you can give up the compulsion and that

“I have to have it NOW’ feeling!”

You might also be happy to give up the feelings of deprivation if you cut back or eliminate something. The choice to have or not to have returns to you. You are more in charge instead of the food, or some internal or external circumstance. How does that sound?

Here’s a testimonial from a patient who did a few Acupressure sessions, one of which was to help her with her Pepsi cravings:

“…I have been a Pepsi addict since I first drank the stuff. I would drink 5+ Pepsi’s a day. Well, I know it’s not good for my weight or my cholesterol. Kara introduced me to Acupressure. I truly didn’t believe in it. However, I have had several Acupressure sessions and although I still drink Pepsi, I only drink one a day. Also, I have greatly decreased my sugar intake, started cooking, exercising and enjoying life again. Hmmm, could it be the Acupressure?…”

So, she was able to cut back her intake without feeling deprived. She didn’t want to give it up altogether, and that’s okay. Cutting back from 5 to 1 Pepsi’s a day can only help her health! When we first talked about doing a session, that was her main concern, feeling deprived without the Pepsi. It wouldn’t be helpful to give something up and be left with a feeling of deprivation, but that’s a whole other blog post.

So, if you’d like to cut back on eating certain foods you know don’t serve you, I can help you with that too. You can then enjoy it when you like, feel good about yourself and then get on to enjoy your life!
