I can help you replace habits of overeating eating with habits that bring you greater satisfaction. Through the use of Acupressure and Focused Concentration we will focus on what drives you to eat compulsively or without awareness. The method is especially helpful for very strong food cravings or intense urges to overeat. Once addressed, your behaviors will change and you will be less likely to:
- feel out of control with food
- crave many different types of foods
- overeat due to emotions, stress, upset, procrastination or boredom
Make Peace with Food
After your session(s), the specific behaviors you don't like are replaced with behaviors you like. These shifts are often dramatic, but can also be subtler and happen over multiple sessions. When you’re free from your habit patterns you will:
- have a more healthy relationship with food
- feel more inherently satisfied; not tempted to overeat
- deal with stress or emotions better and without the need to eat
- feel more mindful and in charge of your eating
Treatment can be performed in person or over the phone.
Please note: Overeating or compulsive eating are generally more complex issues than single food cravings (chocolate & sweets, carbohydrates or caffeine) and will likely require more sessions, and thus a greater commitment on your part. In general, everyone responds differently and some patients require only one session while others require a series.
If you overeat many foods in general, you may need to address issues with Nutrition in combination with Acupressure in order to reach your goals.
